I attended the very first student conference organised by ACCA

I must say for the first time them organizing it, they did a very good job-just that the second day was a little rushed I think?

I think the highlight of the whole event was the fire eating. I was told earlier that we were going to eat fire, but then I thought it was just a metaphor

but when they guy came up on stage with like 300 hundred wooden sticks I was like,

OMG seriously we are going to eat real fire

the guy was like oh its easy I promisee and he went on to instruct us how are we going to actually eat fire

(please do not try this at home)

step 1: light up

step 2: look at the fire for 2 seconds and not any longer. because if you wait, the flame would be much bigger

step 3: stare up to the ceiling

step 4: open mouth

step 5: put the fire into your mouth and immediately close your mouth tightly with your lips

that simple huh?

I was TERRIFIED

but I went on anyways. everybody else was doing it so why cant I?

3 2 1 I didnt look at the fire I went on to just do it and the feeling after the stick was safely in my mouth and when the fire was out? AMAZING

who wouldve thought anybody could do it right?

I can add circus performer to my resume now.....

The whole conference to me was perfect timing. it gave me an idea where I want to do as an accountant once a graduate. and definately prepare me for interviews as I am in the looks for firms I want to do my internship with

They gave away ipads, galaxy tabs, iPods at their lucky draw so guys, if you have n opportunity to join next year, please do take the chance okay?

and mostly I had FUN with my friends. nothing like crazy days with friends (we are young)
