The best man is he who is best to mankind

I had such a good time volunteering at the MRA Community school for refugees. This a school built by the MRA for the refugee children to obtain education for free. These refugees come from Rohangya, which in case you're wondering where is that, is it somewhere in Burma
Rohangya People
These people are Muslims from Arakan state of Burma, which flee from their country to seek for shelter and protection due to the unfavourable political circumstances in their country.
The Rohangya people in our country are mostly married to other Rohangya people, Indonesians or even Thai. These kids looks like Malay. Some of them looks like pelakon Hindustan. When asked what language they spoke in their household, 99% said Bahasa Melayu. They speak fluent Malay-even better than mine lol
Community School
The school itself is a 3 story shoplot. They have facilities such as mini assembly hall, kitchen, library, computer lab with 16 computers and classrooms-and a room which is home to the school's Ustaz and his wife, which both is from Rohangya as well. It is really small. The Ustaz teaches Islamic studies, and teachers from outside to teach them Rohangyan language, and mathematics and now the school looking for volunteers to teach English.
I spent my Sunday with these kids, and let me tell you these kids are hyperactive! LOL
At first I was involved in the upgrading/cleaning of the assembly hall/classes area until the kids came downstairs from their singing/dancing sessions with the other half from our group. and my god, they're a handful to watch! lol It seriously brought my patience for kids to whole other level

But after a while I warmed up to these kids and to hear their stories, it is really sad. Some really don't have money to buy food, some of their parents hit their children because they don't want their kinds to study, some walked 15 km everyday to go to the school because they have hope that by going to school they may one day be smart and be a doctor one day. amazing stories.
These kids are smart and really have the desire to learn.

I had so much fun with these kids, I was especially close to this boy named Faruk, he really is amazing. We shared a secret hand shake! hehe. Faruk can speak Malay, Myammar and a little bit of Hindi and English. When asked how he had learn Hindi he said "sebab saya suka tengok hindustan dekat tv". Smart boy no? because the other kids was so wild I asked Faruk to teach me few words in their language. Myammar language to be exact

BAWA BERTENANG=NI NI PEZA PEI PEZA PEI
SABAR!= SAY SHOW
I LOVE YOU=PA NEMA CHETA

I was screaming NI NIPEZA PEI PEZAPEI the whole time-it was hilarious! dah macam bahasa cina pun ada.
I had such a good time with these kids and my friends as well. I really bonded with my friends as well :)

It really was an amazing day, I'v always try to help other people as much as I can, while I still can. After doing all these work you really take a moment and think how really blessed and lucky we are to be who we are, to have a nice home, happy family, education, peace and of course, protection.

I pray that god bless all these kids, may they one day be treated just like any other citizens in the world, and may all the refugees be given equal rights for education. Amin.
